The Mass Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand (MRTA) informed that the joint venture for the second contract with the civil contractor CKST to build a tunnel and an underground station for the Orange Line (Eastern: Ramkhamhaeng 12 - Hua Mak) will lead to road closures. Traffic will be diverted on Ramkhamhaeng Road for a distance of about 220 meters to build a “guide wall” for the Hua Mak underground station. The lane closures for the first part will take effect 24 hours/day from February 3rd - 24th, 2018.
* Ramkhamhaeng Road between Soi Ramkhamhaeng 36 - 40 will be closed to inbound traffic for all 3 lanes and 2 outbound lanes will be used instead
* Ramkhamhaeng Road between Soi Ramkhamhaeng 83 - 83/3 will be reduced to 2 lanes
In order to divert traffic to proceed with the construction, commuters using the route might be inconvenienced by delays and loud noises due to the operation of heavy machinery, and are therefore reminded to avoid the area if possible.

Traffic will be diverted for the second phase on Ramkhamhaeng Road’s outbound lanes from Soi Ramkhamhaeng 67 - 71, opposite the Sports Authority of Thailand and Hua Mak Metropolitan Police Station for a distance of about 320 meters to manage to transfer the underground public utilities and expand the road surface. The lane closures for the second stage will take place between February 5th - March 5th, 2018. Ramkhamhaeng Road’s outbound lanes will be reduced 24 hours/day from 3 to 2 lanes.
