Traffic has been redirected to make way for the construction of a cement column that will be used to support the main structure of the BTS Skytrain's Blue Line expansion. This project is being carried out by the Mass Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand (MRTA) and will pass through Charan Sanit Wong Road and Phran Nok Road near Faichai Intersection.
Lane closures will begin from February 1st - May 31st, 2018. For the first part, lanes will be closed from Faichai Intersection until Soi Charan Saint Wong 33 at the exit towards Rama VII for a distance of approximately 320 meters from February 1st - March 15th, 2018. During the day, 2 lanes will be closed from Faichai Intersection until Soi Charan Sanit Wong 33 around the clock 24 hours/day and from 22:00 - 5:00 am, all lanes both inbound and outbound will be closed. Also, when construction on the outbound lanes is complete, then the 2 inbound lanes will be closed off from Faichai Intersection until Soi Charan Sanit Wong 28/7 from March 16th - April 30th, 2018. Lanes will be reduced in the same manner by using the 3 lanes underneath the station to relieve traffic.
As for the second part of the lane closures, they will begin from Faichai Intersection and end at the soi of the exit of Nakon Luang Market from May 1st - 15th, 2018 around the clock 24 hours/day and will alternate closing inbound lanes from Faichai Intersection and reaching Soi Charan Sanit Wong 28/3 from May 16th - 31st, 2018.
As for the second part of the lane closures, they will begin from Faichai Intersection and end at the soi of the exit of Nakon Luang Market from May 1st - 15th, 2018 around the clock 24 hours/day and will alternate closing inbound lanes from Faichai Intersection and reaching Soi Charan Sanit Wong 28/3 from May 16th - 31st, 2018.
As this construction project is carried out, repairs to the bridge that crosses over Khlong Mon will also close 1 lane from February 1st - May 31st, 2018.
