ดีแทคเปิดใช้งานคลื่น 700 MHz ขยายบริการอินเทอร์เน็ตความเร็วสูง

      24 ธันวาคม 2563 – ดีแทค ไตรเน็ต รับใบอนุญาตคลื่นความถี่ 700 MHz จาก กสทช.  เริ่มแล้วเดินหน้าขยายบริการอินเทอร์เน็ตความเร็วสูงบนมือถือเพื่อลูกค้า ด้วยคุณสมบัติของคลื่น 700 MHz หรือคลื่นความถี่ต่ำที่มีประสิทธิภาพเพิ่มการเข้าถึงพื้นที่ใช้งาน คลื่นใหม่จึงจะมายกระดับสัญญาณเพื่อประสบการณ์ใช้งานลูกค้า ดีแทคได้เตรียมให้บริการอย่างเต็มที่และดำเนินการขยายโครงข่าย รวมทั้งยังเร่งพัฒนาสัญญาณอย่างต่อเนื่องในปีหน้า

      เผยพร้อมเปิดบริการหลังรับใบอนุญาตในวันที่ 24 ธันวาคม 2563 เปิดให้บริการในภูมิภาคต่างๆ ตามที่ได้รับอนุญาตให้ใช้งานคลื่นความถี่ เพื่อนำเทคโนโลยีสื่อสารอินเทอร์เน็ตความเร็วสูง ให้ลูกค้าดีแทคใช้งาน

- เริ่มเปิดใช้งาน (24 ธันวาคม 2563) ให้บริการกรุงเทพ-ปริมณฑล พื้นที่ภาคเหนือ ภาคตะวันออกเฉียงเหนือ และภาคใต้

- ประมาณ กลางเดือนมกราคมปีหน้า ขยายบริการประมาณ 2,000 แห่งทั่วประเทศ และเร่งเดินหน้าขยายสถานีฐานทั่วประเทศต่อไป



      นายชารัด เมห์โรทรา ประธานเจ้าหน้าที่บริหาร บริษัท โทเทิ่ล แอ็คเซ็ส คอมมูนิเคชั่น จำกัด (มหาชน) หรือดีแทค กล่าวว่า “ดีแทคให้ความสำคัญในการเชื่อมต่อการใช้งานของลูกค้า โดยความต้องการใช้งานดาต้าเพิ่มสูงขึ้นเกือบเท่าตัวในปีนี้ เราดำเนินการเร่งขยายคลื่น 700 MHz เพื่อการใช้งานอินเทอร์เน็ตความเร็วสูงบนมือถือของลูกค้าทั่วประเทศ”

      ทั้งนี้ คลื่นความถี่ต่ำ 700 MHz จะเพิ่มสัญญาณอินเทอร์เน็ตความเร็วสูงครอบคลุมพื้นที่มากยิ่งขึ้น โดยเฉพาะในพื้นที่ห่างไกล และอาคารสูงสำหรับพื้นที่ในเมือง กล่าวคือ คลื่น 700 MHz จะเพิ่มประสิทธิภาพการให้บริการนอกเหนือจากความสำเร็จที่ดีแทคได้เปิดให้บริการบนคลื่น 2300 MHz ของทีโอที พร้อมเร่งขยาย Massive MIMO เทคโนโลยีความเร็วสูงอย่างต่อเนื่องในพื้นที่ใช้งานหนาแน่นทั่วประเทศให้รับส่งข้อมูลดีขึ้นถึง 3 เท่า อีกด้วย

dtac turns on 700 MHz, expands high speed internet for all   

      December 24, 2020 – dtac Trinet received the license for its 700 MHz spectrum from NBTC and began rolling out high speed internet for all today. Due to 700 MHz low-band spectrum’s reach and penetration, the new license is expected to enable a superlative network experience. dtac has been preparing for this launch by expanding the network and will continue to do so in 2021.

      After receiving the low-band license on 24 December 2020, the spectrum will be turned on region by region, as it gets freed up for use to offer high speed internet communications for dtac customers.

- At launch (Dec 24): Starting in and around Bangkok, and select locations in the North, Northeast and South.

- By mid-January next year: approximately 2,000 cell sites will be in operation followed by expansion nationwide.

      Mr. Sharad Mehrotra, CEO of Total Access Communication PCL or dtac, said, “Our 700 MHz spectrum is critical to support Thai people’s new connectivity needs. Mobile data usage nearly doubled in 2020; and it grew even faster upcountry. Hence, we are currently expediting the deployment of 700 MHz cell sites to serve our customers nationwide.”

      The new 700 MHz sites provide a coverage layer that is especially beneficial in rural areas and high-rise buildings in cities. High-traffic areas will also continue to benefit from the ongoing expansion of the TOT 2300 MHz network. Using Massive MIMO technology, the dtac network has tripled its capacity within 2020 and achieved class-leading download speeds.
