Phetchabura Buddhist Park- A Power of Faith

Phetchabura Buddhist Park- A Power of Faith  It is the   pride of Phetchabun people whose power of faith originated this Buddhist Park which becomes a place for religious ceremony and for religious tourist destination.  The huge replica of Pra Budhha Dhamaraja, made of pure brass enshrined in this Phechbura Buddhist Park to commemorate the King Rama IX on the occasion of his 84 birthdays.  Pra Buddha Dhamraja has been the center of Buddhists and the symbol of Phetchabun province.

Watch “Sea of Clouds” at Khao Kho Any time of the year

The climate in Amphur Khao Kor is cool and lovely all year round and even very cold in winter. The area of Phetchabun mountainous, with the summit of 1,174 meters above the average sea level and a water reservoir Rattanai in the middle create a sea of cloud or fog almost every day of the year. There are many viewpoints to enjoy breathtaking scene such as in front of the district office, Khao Takien Ngo view point and Wat Kong Nium View Point.

Wat Pha That Pa Sorn Kaew- Arts of Faith

The Buddhist monastery/temple is situated on top of the hill amid the nature and serene atmosphere. Surrounded by complex mountain ranges, Chedi Pra That Pa Sorn Kaew Sirirajtam Naruemit stands proudly and beautifully. The whole chedi (pagoda), with 7 layers of lotus, is adorned with over 5 million colorful mosaic tiles, pottery items and jewelries. The temple divided into 2 parts, a monastery for Monks and a meditation’s house for Buddhists. 5 sitting white Buddha images over one another are stunning and distinguishing. Phu Thab Berg – Experience the Cool Climate All Year

Another place to “swim through clouds” to experience the magic breathtaking view of the clouds and fog that covered long, winding and slope roads to the mountain top of Phu Thab Berg at 1,768 meters elevation. It is highest view point in Phetchaburi province where the climate is fresh and cool all year round. Moreover, many cabbage farms of the Hmong (hill tribe people) along the foothills are quite spectacular. Best time to see is from July-August and October-November.

Bang Rachan Islet- only one place in Thailand to see Fresh Water Jelly Fish

Bang Rachan islet is a big rock islet of 300 meters long. It originates Keg Stream and is home of fresh water jelly fish, which you will see only once a year and only at this islet in Thailand.  An eco- tourism activity called “Pai Rue Tong Pa Tam Ha Mangkraprun Num Jeud” or “Row the Boat, Tour the Forest in Search for Fresh Water Jelly Fish organized by the Forest Lover Club of Nong Mae Na around March-May of each year. Come to touch with nature, learn to pick Hoy Kon Tad (kind of clam), see variety of butterflies lurking between boulders and around river bank.
